"Building a Global Partnership: Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Udayana and Upskill Launch Upskill Summer Course Program"

Bukit Jimbaran, 1 March 2024 – FMIPA Udayana held an important meeting on Friday, 1 March 2024, at the FMIPA Meeting room, Dean Building, Floor 4, which focused on developing the upskill summer course program. This meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including the Dean of FMIPA, Mrs. Prof. Ni Luh Watiniasih, Deputy Dean I, Mr. Ngurah Agus Sanjaya, the Upskill Team consisting of Max, Laura, and Rima, as well as two important international delegates, Annika Axelson and Heledd George from Cardiff University and Ulster University, respectively.


Held from 11.00 to 12.00 WIB, this meeting aims to introduce the faculty and international study program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences to Upskill and the two partner universities. The main aim of this meeting is to carry out due diligence in strengthening the partnership between Udayana University and Cardiff University and Ulster University. This partnership is expected to provide great benefits in the upskill summer course program, which is designed to enrich the knowledge and skills of Udayana University students through international course programs.


This meeting marked an important first step in collaboration between universities, where the two delegates from abroad, Annika Axelson as Deputy Head of Global Opportunities from Cardiff University and Heledd George as global mobility officer from Ulster University, provided views and strategies for the effective integration of upskill programs. Their presence shows the strong commitment of the two home universities in supporting innovative and inclusive educational initiatives.


It is hoped that this upskill summer course program will not only improve the academic and professional competence of Udayana students, but will also open wider opportunities for knowledge and cultural exchange between international students. Apart from that, this program is expected to improve the reputation of Udayana University, especially the MIPA faculty, as a globally oriented educational institution and strengthen international collaboration networks in the fields of education and research.


With this spirit of collaboration, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Udayana University hope to create an academic environment that is conducive to innovation and growth, as well as making a significant contribution to the development of quality human resources in Indonesia and on the international stage.
