"Health Care Pharmacy 2024: Embracing Community for Healthy Living"

Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University (FMIPA UNUD)
again held community service activities through the "Health Care Pharmacy
2024" (FPK) program. The event took place in Kenderan Village, Tegallalang
District, Gianyar Regency. by carrying out a concept involving four main series
of activities: outreach, free health checks, Little Pharmacists (APOCIL), and
village development service.
The chief executive of FPK, Gusti Putu Pranayoga Permadi, a Pharmacy
Studies student class of 2022, directly led this activity, where this activity
was attended and opened by Dr. Eka Indra Setyawan, S.Farm., M.Sc., Apt.,
Pharmacy Study Program Coordinator. In his speech, Dr. Eka emphasized the
importance of activities such as FPK in providing a positive impact on the
health of local communities and as a form of implementing the Tri Dharma of
Higher Education.
Series of activities
1. Health Socialization
This socialization aims to provide an understanding of the importance of
maintaining health, especially for adults and the elderly. Speakers from
Udayana Pharmacy lecturers and students explained the role of pharmaceutical
science in preventing and managing disease, especially hypertension.
2. Free Health Check and Blood Donation
Carried out by the Janar Duta Medical Assistance Team (TBM) and the
Kenderan Village Community Health Center, this activity includes checking body
weight, blood pressure, blood sugar levels, uric acid and cholesterol. There
were also consultations with doctors and education by pharmacists, as well as
blood donations in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Gianyar.
Through this activity, it is hoped that the public will be more aware of the
importance of routine health checks.
3. Little Pharmacist (APOCIL)
This program aims to introduce elementary school students to the world of
pharmacy through educational activities such as making turmeric herbal
medicine, introduction to drug classification, and interactive health classes.
This activity took place at Kenderan 1 Elementary School with active
participation from grade 5 and 6 students.
4. Village Development Service
FPK also involves village development service activities in Kenderan
Village which has extensive agricultural potential. Through counseling,
assistance and training, this activity aims to increase the economic value of
local plants and empower village human resources.
Chairman of HIMAFARMA 2024, I Putu Adhi Pranata, and Head of Kenderan
Village, I Gede Jaya Kusuma, expressed their appreciation for the FPK program
which provides many benefits for the community. FPK 2024 has succeeded in
increasing public awareness about the importance of health, providing access to
free health checks, and promoting attitudes of caring for others through blood
donation. The hope is that this program can continue to be implemented every
year with increasingly better cooperation between HIMAFARMA, the community and
other related parties.
With a spirit of togetherness and care, Pharmacy Cares for Health 2024 is
clear evidence of the commitment of Udayana University FMIPA Pharmacy students
in supporting the health of the people of Kenderan Village and its surroundings.
