FMIPA UNUD Welcomes the Activity "Homeschooling KITA Bali Goes to Udayana Informatics"
Bukit Jimbaran, Monday, February 10, 2025 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University received a visit from the KITA Bali Homeschooling community in an activity entitled "Homeschooling KITA Bali Goes to Udayana Informatics". The event, which took place at the Dean's Building, 3rd Floor, Computer Lab 2, FMIPA, aimed to introduce the world of informatics, especially related to artificial intelligence technology or Artificial Intelligence, to homeschooling participants through educational sessions and direct practice in the laboratory.
This event was officially opened by the Dean of FMIPA Udayana University, Prof. Dra. Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc., Ph.D. accompanied by the Head of Informatics Dr. Ir. I Ketut Gede Suhartana, S.Kom., M.kom. IPM., AS, in whose speech the Dean of FMIPA expressed his hope that this activity could provide new insights to participants regarding the world of technology and informatics and foster their interest in the field of science.
As the Head of the Committee and also as a resource person for this activity, Ir. I Gusti Agung Gede Arya Kadyanan, S.Kom., M.Kom., said that this program is a form of collaboration between FMIPA UNUD in supporting the development of education outside the formal pathway, especially for the homeschooling community. He also hopes that this activity can provide valuable experience for participants in understanding more deeply about the world of informatics and technology.
This activity took place from 10:00 to 12:00 WITA, with various interesting sessions, including an introduction to the basics of programming, exploration of information technology, and interactive discussions with lecturers and students of the Informatics Study Program, FMIPA UNUD. Participants were also given the opportunity to visit several laboratories, such as Lab. 2, Rooms 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4, in order to gain a deeper learning experience.
With this activity, FMIPA Udayana University, especially the informatics study program, continues to be committed to supporting the development of science in society and opening opportunities for various educational communities to interact and learn together.
