FMIPA SOP Preparation Team Holding Meetings to Improve Quality and Integrity
Bukit Jimbaran, Friday, May 3 2024, the team for preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Udayana University held a meeting in the Senate Meeting Room on the 1st floor of the FMIPA Unud Building, Jimbaran Campus. This meeting aims to discuss the preparation of SOPs that will improve quality and integrity in the faculty environment.
The meeting opened with a briefing from the leadership/dean regarding the
importance of SOPs in maintaining quality and the zone of integrity (ZI) that
is being built. Then the meeting continued with the presentation of material
discussing SOPs that already existed, but had not been recorded or were not yet
fully known. Therefore, it is necessary to re-collect data on SOPs that already
have and those that do not, and revise them according to current needs.
In the process of developing an integrity zone, the SOP must meet several
criteria, including in terms of uniform format, effectiveness and efficiency
with simplification for the relevant officials, as well as clearly measuring
the completeness required, the time required, and the output produced. So that
all SOPs in building an integrity zone can be summarized into a business
process map. SOPs in the integrity zone will be classified into core service
SOPs and supporting service SOPs.
The priority for preparing SOPs for the integrity zone is the SOP for core
services and three important SOPs in ZI, namely the SOP for Implementing
Gratification Control, the SOP for Public Complaints, and the SOP for Handling
Conflicts of Interest. After that, continue with preparing SOPs for supporting
services which will be carried out later. The SOP drafting team is adjusted to
the Decree (SK) and the needs of the type of SOP that will be prepared later.
This meeting is an important step in improving quality and integrity at FMIPA
Udayana University. It is hoped that with structured and measurable SOPs, this
faculty will be more efficient and effective in carrying out its duties.
