"Discussion of CIFOR-ICRAF Collaboration and FMIPA UNUD 2024" Aligning Vision and Principles for a Better Partnership"

On Wednesday, April 18 2024, at the FMIPA Dean's Building, LT 4, Courtroom, a meeting was held between the CIFOR-ICRAF team (https://www.cifor-icraf.org) which is a research institution that focuses on providing solutions to global challenges and FMIPA UNUD which aims to equalize perceptions and ensure the continuation of the cooperation agreement between the two institutions in the field of research. This meeting was attended by the Dean of FMIPA Prof. Ni Luh Watiniasih, Deputy Deans, FMIPA UNUD staff, Mr. Himlal Baral, and Team CIFOR-ICRAF.


This discussion aims to evaluate and equalize the perceptions of both parties regarding the continuation of cooperation in the form of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) which will determine the direction and activities of joint research in the future. It is hoped that this discussion can become the basis for the formation of a more solid and effective PKS, which can produce significant contributions to research and development in Indonesia.


Dean Prof. Ni Luh Watiniasih and her team from FMIPA UNUD, as well as Mr. Himlal and the CIFOR-ICRAF team, participated in in-depth discussions about the goals, benefits and activities expected from this collaboration. These discussions covered various aspects, from administrative arrangements to the development of research projects, with the aim of reaching an agreement that would ensure the continuation of successful and beneficial cooperation for both institutions. Apart from that, members of the CIFOR-ICRAF team, one of whom is a researcher from Korea, also discussed the potential for collaboration between Udayana University and Kookmin University (Korea) in the field of student mobility.


It is hoped that this discussion can be the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership between CIFOR-ICRAF and FMIPA UNUD, with the hope that this collaboration can produce significant contributions to research and development in Indonesia.
