2024 FMIPA DPM SOCIAL SERVICE at Payangan 1 Public Elementary School

Tabanan, Bali, Friday to Saturday on September 6-7, 2024, the Student Representative Council (DPM) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University held a 2024 DPM FMIPA Social Service activity at SD Negeri 1 Payangan, Marga District, Tabanan Regency with the theme "Grow and Develop a Healthy Generation Through Medicinal Plants" which aims to Raise awareness among students of the importance of medicinal plants and living pharmacies as alternative treatments for health, as well as Increase social spirit and tolerance in the entire academic community of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.


The DPM FMIPA Social Service was attended by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information, the Head of the Perbekel and Bendesa Adat Payangan or their representatives, the Principal of SD Negeri 1 Payangan, the Teachers and Staff of SD Negeri 1 Payangan, the Chairperson of the Student Executive Board and the Student Representative Council of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences or their representatives, as well as all students of SD Negeri 1 Payangan and the entire committee for the 2024 DPM FMIPA Social Service activity.


The chairman of the committee I Made Gede Aryadana Baraja Putra in his presentation, said that the activity that had been prepared for approximately 3 months with a committee of 56 students was expected to be a forum for students of SD Negeri 1 Payangan to gain insight into the benefits of medicinal plants and use medicinal plants as an alternative treatment to form a healthy generation. Baraja hopes that this activity can produce good output for students of SD Negeri 1 Payangan and the DPM FMIPA Social Service Implementation Committee.


Furthermore, the Chairperson of the Student Representative Council Putu Anggita Sekar Pratiwi expressed her gratitude for the implementation of this year's Community Service activity. The event, which aims to provide insight into medicinal plants to students of SD Negeri 1 Payangan, is expected to provide a positive contribution to students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University and also to the community.


Furthermore, the Principal of SD Negeri 1 Payangan, Ni Nyoman Trisnawati expressed her gratitude to the entire organizing committee of the 2024 DPM FMIPA Community Service activity and all parties involved in making this Community Service activity a success. She also expressed her deepest gratitude to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences for all the donations and insights given to the students of SD Negeri 1 Payangan.


The Head of Traditional Village and the Head of the Payangan Village Perbekel were also present at the 2024 DPM FMIPA Community Service activity. She expressed her gratitude for the presence of this Community Service activity in Payangan Village, Marga District, Tabanan Regency. He hopes that this activity can be carried out smoothly, and provide a positive impact not only for the community of SD Negeri 1 Payangan, but also for the community of Payangan Village.


Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Prof. Ni Nyoman Rupiasih, S.Si., M.Si, Ph.D. in her speech said that as conveyed by the chairman of the committee and the chairman of the FMIPA Student Representative Council, this event is important because it can foster an attitude of tolerance and empathy between FMIPA students and students of SD Negeri 1 Payangan. She also hopes that the students of SD Negeri 1 Payangan will be able to motivate students to be able to achieve higher education up to university level.


The 2024 DPM FMIPA Social Service hosted by MC Mutiara Aulia Haerani and Yande Pramana Yustika Pradeva went well. The 2024 DPM FMIPA Social Service Committee then provided material on medicinal plants to all students of SD Negeri 1 Payangan. The presentation of the material was not only through material presentation alone, but was collaborated with light games, ice breaking, and fun interactive quizzes that could hone the abilities and memory of students of SD Negeri 1 Payangan. The activities on the next day began with joint exercise with all residents of SD Negeri 1 Payangan. Then, the activity continued with planting medicinal plants as a practice of the material that had been presented previously.


The 2024 DPM FMIPA Social Service event continued with an art performance held at the Wantilan Pura Desa Payangan by presenting the Pendet Dance, Puspanjali Dance, and Balinese regional songs by students of SD Negeri 1 Payangan and featuring live acoustic by the Social Service committee. Then, this event was closed with remarks and gratitude from the chairman of the committee, the chairman of DPM FMIPA, and the Principal of SD Negeri 1 Payangan.
