On Friday, April 19 2024, at the Dean Building of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, Floor 1, a senate meeting took place which was attended by 26 of the 36 members of the FMIPA senate. This meeting was opened by the Senate Secretary of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Cokorda Rai Adi Pramartha, which was then followed by the delivery of information from the Chairman of the Senate, Prof. I Made Agus Gelgel Wirasuta and as Dean of the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty, Prof. Ni Luh Watinasih.
One of the important points discussed was the formation of three new study programs at FMIPA, namely the Medical Physics Professional Program, Masters in Informatics, and Masters in Pharmacy. For the Medical Physics Professional Program, it is hoped that the study program will have at least 5 lecturers with medical physics diplomas, of which 3 people must come from the study program and 2 people can be allocated from outside the study program. Apart from that, lecturers who get a professional degree at FMIPA must carry out lectures at UNDIP at least 70% of the time. In the case of Masters in Informatics, the study program formation documents have been submitted and received assistance from LP3M, but are still waiting for reviewer assignments. Meanwhile, the Master of Pharmacy has received a positive response from LP3M and it is hoped that all FMIPA lecturers will be invited to become lecturers in the program.
The meeting also discussed
Masters in Biology, which accepts students through regular and research routes.
This study program is currently carrying out curriculum conversion and
synchronizing publication recognition. Apart from that, the senate meeting also
approved the proposal for the promotion of 3 FMIPA lecturers. This meeting also
conveyed the aspirations of Prof. Agung Gunawan about the importance of
establishing study programs and the role of lecturers in meeting university
needs. This senate meeting shows FMIPA's commitment to developing new study
programs and supporting lecturer performance, in line with the university's
vision of improving the quality of education and research.
