"FMIPA Unud and Duta Wacana Christian University Collaborating Through Biology Study Program Benchmarking"

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Udayana University (Unud) received a visit from a team from Duta Wacana Christian University (UKDW) on Thursday, July 11 2024. The visit which took place in the Meeting Room on the 4th floor of the FMIPA Dean's Building was aimed at conducting benchmarking and exploration. collaboration, especially between the Biology Study Programs of the two institutions.


The UKDW delegation was led directly by Dr. Charis Amarantini as Dean, accompanied by Dwi Aditiyarini, S.Si, Biotech, M.Sc. (Head of the Biology Study Program), drh. Vinsa Cantya Prakasita, SKH, M.Sc. (Deputy Dean for Administration and Finance), and Dra. Aniek Prasetyaningsih, M.Sc. (Head of InQA Biology Study Program). Meanwhile, FMIPA Unud was represented by Dr. Ir. Ngurah Agus Sanjaya (Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning), Dr. I Ketut Ginatra (Head of Biology Study Program), as well as representatives of Biology lecturers, IK Putra Juliarta and Mrs. Ria.


Apart from benchmarking and exploring Cooperation Agreements (PKS), this meeting was also an opportunity to exchange ideas regarding the understanding and implementation of lectures and learning methods applied in the FMIPA Unud Biology Study Program. Dr. Ir. Ngurah Agus Sanjaya said, "We are very enthusiastic about this visit. Through benchmarking and exchanging ideas, we hope to improve the quality of education at both institutions."


Dr. Charis Amarantini from UKDW added, "Collaboration between universities is very important in facing the challenges of higher education today. We hope that this visit can open up opportunities for wider collaboration in the future."


It is hoped that this productive meeting will be the first step for closer collaboration between FMIPA Unud and UKDW, especially in developing the Biology Study Program at both institutions. Both parties are optimistic that the results of this benchmarking will bring great benefits to improving the quality of education and research in the field of Biology.
