Bukit Jimbaran, Wednesday, September 3, 2025 – A coordination meeting to discuss the proposal for the establishment of a Basic Science Education Laboratory (Sains Basic) was held in the Senate Room on the first floor of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Dean's Building. The meeting was opened by Prof. Ni Luh Watiniasih, Dean of FMIPA, accompanied by the Vice Deans. This meeting demonstrated the faculty's commitment to developing a learning approach based on practice and scientific creativity.

The meeting was attended by the proposal development team, consisting of lecturers and heads of relevant study programs. They collectively discussed the laboratory design, objectives, and expected long-term impact. The primary focus is on creating a learning space that supports exploration and experimentation, with an emphasis on the scientific thinking process, not just the memorization of theoretical concepts.

This Basic Science Laboratory is planned to be a supporting facility for developing critical thinking skills for students at Udayana University. The development process will be carried out in stages, based on input from various stakeholders.
