The implementation of PKS FMIPA and CIFOR, was carried out by the International Workshop on Green Carbon Measurement Techniques in the Ngurah Rai Tahura
As an implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of MIPA Unud and the Center for International Forestry (CIFOR), an International Workshop on Green Carbon Measurement Techniques was held at Tahura Ngurah Rai on March 28 2023. On this occasion, the use of portable green carbon measurement equipment was introduced by a research team from National Institute of Forest Science (NIFoS) Jeju Island, Korea and CIFOR.The participants involved in this workshop were faculty staff from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Udayana University, Ngurah Rai Grand Forest Park staff, and staff from the Regional Management Office Unda Anyar River Flow. In this activity, participants went directly to the field to practice using portable equipment for measuring Green Carbon. This portable equipment allows researchers to obtain data more quickly and concisely in measuring carbon content in an ecosystem. The Indonesian government is committed to reducing carbon emissions in an effort to overcome the effects of global climate change. One of these steps is realized through the application of Green Carbon (green carbon). Green carbon is the carbon stored in plants and soils of natural ecosystems and is an important part of the global carbon cycle.
