Unud Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Musrenbang: Strategies and Targets for 2026 Towards Academic Excellence
Bukit Jimbaran, Monday, August 4, 2025 - The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) of Udayana University held a Planning and Development Meeting (Musrenbang) as part of the preparation of the Work Plan and Budget (RKA) for Fiscal Year 2026. The stages of the 2026 RKA preparation are as follows: program and budget preparation at SILUNA (July 31–August 13), program and budget review by the Renbang Team, SPI, BMN, and Planning (August 14–20), program and budget confirmation and revision by the units (August 21–27), and review of the results of the program and budget revisions (August 28–September 1).
The Musrenbang opened with a presentation of Udayana University's development direction for 2023–2042 by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning. Unud's development direction for 2023–2027 aims for Unud to be superior, independent, cultured, and prominent in Southeast Asia. This target is then broken down into five main objectives: 1) enhancing its international academic reputation; 2) strengthening management, planning, finance, and facilities; 3) strengthening the organization and human resources; 4) strengthening research, innovation, and downstreaming; and 5) increasing collaboration and revenue generation. For each of these objectives, several strategic initiatives/programs have been established along with output indicators targeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Strategic Target Performance Indicators (IKSS), and Accreditation Performance Indicators (IKA). It is expected that the activities planned in each unit will align with the fulfillment of the indicators for each program.
FMIPA's performance achievements for the second quarter (TW) were also presented. KPI1, KPI3, and KPI8 have exceeded the established targets. However, improvements are still needed for the other KPIs to achieve the targets set by the end of 2025. The Musrenbang (Development Planning Meeting) then continued with faculty policy directives delivered by the Dean of FMIPA and concluded with the signing of a performance contract between the Dean and the Coordinating Study Programs (Koprodi) and the handover of budget allocations for each study program.
