Green Tourism and Balinese Wellness Program

Green Tourism and Balinese Wellness

A holistic learning program that combines sustainable tourism, environmental awareness, cultural immersion, and Balinese wellness traditions.

Program Background

Green tourism, also known as sustainable tourism, focuses on minimizing the environmental impact of travel while promoting the conservation of natural resources and supporting local communities. This program introduces participants to responsible travel practices that benefit both the environment and local economies.

Wellness tourism emphasizes travel for health and well-being through activities that support physical, mental, and spiritual balance, such as yoga, meditation, engagement with nature, and traditional wellness practices.

By combining green tourism and wellness tourism, this program offers a meaningful experience that encourages participants to appreciate sustainable living, Balinese culture, and mindful lifestyles in a natural and culturally rich environment.

Program Highlights

Sustainable Tourism

Participants learn about green tourism, environmental conservation, mangrove education, beach cleaning, and responsible travel practices.

Balinese Wellness

The program includes yoga, Balinese body massage, traditional wellness knowledge, and a jamu-making workshop.

Cultural Immersion

Participants explore Balinese rituals, dance, music, cooking, handicrafts, and traditional village life.

Introduction to the program, campus environment, and learning objectives.

Green Tourism and Wellness Overview

Understanding sustainable tourism and wellness-based travel concepts.

Mangrove Education

Learning about mangrove ecosystems, conservation, and coastal sustainability.

Yoga and Balinese Body Massage

Experiencing wellness practices that promote relaxation and balance.

Balinese Dance and Music

Introducing participants to Balinese performing arts and cultural expression.

Balinese Cooking Class

Hands-on experience in preparing traditional Balinese cuisine.

Mount Batur Trekking

Outdoor learning activity that connects participants with Bali’s natural landscape.

Traditional Village Visit

Exploring local wisdom, culture, and community-based tourism practices.

Program Structure

The program is designed as a two-week learning experience combining lectures, workshops, field activities, cultural practices, and reflection sessions.
