Udayana University's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Encourages Innovation in Environmentally Friendly Coffee Packaging through the Udayana Mengabdi 2026 Program in Pajahan Village.

Tabanan, July 4, 2026 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University once again demonstrated its commitment to delivering innovations that have a real impact on society through the implementation of the 2026 Udayana Mengabdi Program.

Themed "Coffee Marketing Strategy in Pajahan Village Using the Standing Pouch Ecopack Method," this community service activity focused on developing the potential of local coffee through innovative, more modern, attractive packaging with high sales value, while still maintaining environmental sustainability.

Pajahan Village, Pupuan District, Tabanan Regency, is known as one of Bali's leading coffee producing regions. With its uniquely appealing coffee quality, creative marketing strategies are needed to ensure local products are more competitive in an increasingly competitive market.

Chaird by Dr. Ni Made Asih, S.Pd., M.Si., the Udayana Mengabdi team introduced the use of Standing Pouch Ecopack as an innovative solution for coffee packaging. This packaging not only provides a more professional and attractive product appearance, but also supports the use of environmentally friendly packaging as part of efforts to maintain environmental sustainability.

The activity, held in the Pajahan Village Head Office Hall, involved members of the Pajahan Village coffee farmer group. Participants gained insight into the importance of packaging innovation as a branding strategy and to increase the economic value of local coffee products.

Through collaboration between academics and the community, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University continues to strive to provide applicable knowledge and innovation that can positively contribute to village development, community empowerment, and increasing the competitiveness of local products.
