Denpasar, September 27–29, 2026 — The National Cooperation Network of Higher Education Institutions in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPAnet) has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and tangible contributions toward the advancement of higher education in mathematics and natural sciences (MIPA) in Indonesia.

This commitment was realized through the 2026 MIPAnet Members' Meeting, held from September 27 to 29, 2026, at the Grand Santhi Hotel in Denpasar, Bali. The event was themed "MIPAnet Making an Impact: Synergizing, Innovating, and Contributing."

The MIPAnet Members' Meeting served as a strategic forum for members—comprising deans and/or representatives from various Indonesian universities—to strengthen inter-institutional communication and synergy, exchange ideas, and discuss the future development trajectory of the MIPAnet network.

In addition to addressing organizational agendas, the event marked a pivotal moment for leadership continuity and the renewal of MIPAnet’s management team. During the forum, Dr. Berry Juliandi, S.Si., M.Si., was elected as the Secretary-General of MIPAnet for the 2026–2028 term, while Prof. Ir. Sukir Maryanto, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., was appointed as the Executive Secretary of MIPAnet for the same period.

This leadership transition is part of the organization's renewal process and an effort to ensure the sustainability of established programs and collaborations. The 2026–2028 leadership team is expected to carry forward MIPAnet’s existing initiatives while introducing new ideas and innovations relevant to the evolving landscape of higher education, science, and technology.

The series of activities also featured a sharing session with the outgoing Secretary-General of MIPAnet (2023–2026), Prof. Dr. Eng. Kuwat Triyana, M.Si., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Dewa Ngurah Suprapta, M.Sc. This sharing session served as a platform for exchanging experiences, insights, and lessons regarding network management and the development of collaborations within the higher education sector.

Through this forum, MIPAnet continues to foster closer communication and cooperation among the leaders of higher education institutions specializing in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) in Indonesia. The resulting synergy is expected to lay the foundation for joint initiatives that benefit member institutions, human resource development, the advancement of science and technology, and society at large.

The 2026 MIPAnet Member Meeting in Bali served as a pivotal moment to reaffirm the shared commitment to establishing MIPAnet as a national network that is active, adaptive, collaborative, and capable of making tangible contributions.

As it enters the 2026–2028 leadership term, MIPAnet is committed to further strengthening inter-institutional collaboration and driving initiatives that support the advancement of higher education and scientific development in Indonesia.

Synergizing, Innovating, and Contributing for an Impactful MIPAnet.
