FMIPA UNUD Holds Leadership Meeting to Refine Preparations for ASIIN International Accreditation and Evaluate Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Achievements

`

Denpasar – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Udayana University held a leadership meeting on Thursday, October 29, 2026, in Room 205 on the second floor of the FMIPA Postgraduate Building, Denpasar. The meeting commenced at 13:00 WITA (Central Indonesian Time) and was chaired by the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc., Ph.D. It was attended by the Vice Deans, Study Program Coordinators, the Head of the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM), the Head of the Administrative Office, and various section heads within FMIPA.

The meeting addressed several strategic agenda items, including preparations for international ASIIN accreditation, an evaluation of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) achievements, and various matters concerning the development and enhancement of faculty governance.

Regarding the ASIIN accreditation preparations, each study program reported on the status of their documentation, team formation, task distribution, and progress in meeting accreditation criteria. Some study programs have already established task force teams and begun compiling supporting documents, while others are currently updating their portfolios and preparing the necessary requirements for accreditation. The Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs emphasized the importance of using a timeline as a shared reference to ensure that the international accreditation process remains focused, with the goal of completion by 2027.

During the discussion, the Dean also provided directives regarding the procurement of laboratory equipment for instructional purposes. Each study program was requested to submit their equipment requirements to the faculty, which will then be prioritized based on available budget. If these needs cannot be met through the faculty budget, requests may be escalated to the university level, subject to a priority-based assessment. Furthermore, study programs are encouraged to pursue collaborations with external parties to fulfill specific laboratory equipment requirements. The next agenda item was the evaluation of the Key Performance Indicators (IKU) for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Udayana University (UNUD) for 2026. During this discussion, the leadership emphasized that achieving these indicators is a collective responsibility shared by the faculty and all study programs. Active involvement from every study program is essential to drive improvements in these indicators, particularly those that have not yet met their targets.

Key follow-up priorities discussed included evaluating the IKU achievements of each study program, accelerating student graduation rates, strengthening tracer studies, reconciling and validating data, increasing publications in reputable scientific journals, fostering international collaboration, enhancing partnerships that yield measurable outcomes, and boosting faculty recognition and contributions to policy-making.

In addition to these primary agenda items, the meeting addressed the progress regarding the renaming of the Doctoral (S3) Biology Study Program, the updating of supporting data for the Integrity Zone (ZI), the dissemination of the "Agents of Change" program to all study programs, the implementation of the *Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka* (MBKM) initiative, and the extension of the registration period for the STIC 2026 international seminar. The meeting also highlighted the condition of the FI building—which houses the Physical Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry laboratories—with the expectation that this will be taken into account during the planning for the revitalization of faculty facilities.

Through this leadership meeting, FMIPA UNUD continues to strengthen coordination and synergy across all units to ensure readiness for international accreditation, improve performance outcomes, and foster a higher quality, more competitive faculty governance system.

The meeting was concluded by the Dean of FMIPA UNUD at 16:21 WITA, with the expectation that all discussed points will be followed up by the respective units and study programs in accordance with their specific responsibilities.
