FMIPA Udayana University Receives Visit from GSIAT Seoul National University Delegation in the Framework of International Agroforestry Workshop
Bukit Jimbaran, April 30, 2025 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University received an academic visit from a delegation from the Graduate School of International Agricultural Technology (GSIAT), Seoul National University, South Korea. This visit is part of a series of events for the International Workshop on Agroforestry: Agroforestry as a Nature-Based Solution in Asia.
The GSIAT delegation consisting of lecturers and research students in the field of agriculture was welcomed directly by the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc., Ph.D., accompanied by the Vice Deans, UPIKS Coordinators, Biology Study Program Coordinators for the S1, S2, and S3 levels, and a number of research lecturers.
On that occasion, Prof. Watiniasih explained various studies that have been and are being conducted by FMIPA UNUD, especially in the fields of mangroves and agriculture. She also conveyed future research plans that emphasize a sustainable and nature-based approach.
"This collaboration is expected to encourage the birth of innovation and real solutions in the management of natural resources, especially mangrove ecosystems and environmentally friendly agricultural sectors," said Prof. Watiniasih. This visit strengthens international relations between Udayana University and Seoul National University, as well as being a forum for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and potential cross-country research collaboration in the field of agroforestry.
