Young Generation of FMIPA Unud: "Welcoming the Future of Indonesian Mangroves with the UAE Government"

Jimbaran Hill, 21 May 2024, continuation of news from the visit of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Government regarding the construction of the Mohammed bin Zayed – Joko Widodo International Mangrove Research Center (MBZ-JKW IMRC) in Bali, there is another story from the visit. Two students from (FMIPA) UNUD also took part in the visit. They were actively involved in the visit process. Their presence proves the commitment of academics to support efforts to rehabilitate and preserve mangrove ecosystems in Indonesia.


The two students had the golden opportunity to interact directly with delegates from the UAE, including H.E. Amna Bint Abdullah Al Dahak, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, as well as other related figures such as Dr. Mohammed Al Hammadi, Dr. Ebrahim Aljamali, Hiba Alshehhi, and Fatima Al Hammadi. For them, this is an unforgettable moment and a valuable experience later. not only being a witness to this important agreement but also contributing to discussions regarding the development of mangrove ecosystem research at national and international levels.


The active participation of the two FMIPA Udayana University students in this visit is a clear example of the important role of the young generation in supporting efforts to preserve the environment and sustainable development. Through their involvement, it is hoped that this international mangrove research center can become an effective forum for the development of science and mangrove conservation in Indonesia
