Udayana University's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Strengthens Optimization of Lecture Room Utilization Through Leadership Coordination Meetings

Denpasar, June 8, 2026 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University held a Leadership Coordination Meeting regarding Lecture Room Utilization for 2026 on Monday (June 8) in Lecture Room 205, the MIPA Building, Denpasar. The meeting, chaired by the Dean of FMIPA, was attended by Vice Deans, Study Program Coordinators, Administrative Coordinators, and staff from FMIPA Udayana University.

This activity was held as an effort to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of lecture room utilization within FMIPA. The meeting discussed evaluation of lecture schedules, classroom utilization, and optimization of laboratory and shared learning facilities.

On this occasion, faculty leaders highlighted the low utilization rate of lecture room utilization at FMIPA, both on the Bukit and Denpasar Campuses. Therefore, a more integrated spatial planning strategy is needed to maximize the available space capacity while reducing energy waste and maintenance costs.

In addition to discussing the condition of existing spaces, the meeting also addressed the planned renovation of several buildings on the Bukit Campus, which will impact the adjustment of lecture locations. To support a smooth learning process, each study program is expected to optimize scheduling, taking into account the capacity and suitability of available spaces.

Specifically, in the Denpasar Mathematics and Natural Sciences Building, space utilization was arranged to support the activities of the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program (PSPA), OSCE, and the master's program. This scheduling arrangement is expected to increase room occupancy rates while supporting the smooth running of academic activities within the faculty.

In addition to the main agenda related to space utilization, the meeting also discussed several other strategic issues, including plans for an audience with the rectorate regarding remuneration calculations, the development of new business units at the study program level, the arrangement of educational and research laboratories, and the preparation of proposed lecturer promotions according to the established schedule.

Through this coordination meeting, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Udayana University affirmed its commitment to continuously improving the governance of academic facilities and infrastructure to support the creation of an effective, efficient, and sustainable learning environment.
