Udayana University Prepares for Corruption-Free Area Integrity Zone (ZI-WBK) Assessment
Bukit Jimbaran, January 16, 2025 – Udayana University continues to solidify its steps towards the 2024 Corruption-Free Area Integrity Zone (ZI-WBK) assessment. In a preparatory meeting attended by the Head of the General Bureau, Vice Chancellor II, and the university and faculty leadership, the implementation strategy for the Performance Evaluation Report (LKE) was discussed as the key to the success of ZI-WBK.
Vice Chancellor II said that the development of ZI is the main indicator in the rector's performance contract with the Ministry. A total of six faculties, namely the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Faculty of Tourism, and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), have met the requirements to be submitted to the center as companions to the Faculty of Economics and Business in efforts towards ZI-WBK.
FMIPA is one of the faculties that is considered to have good governance and great potential in supporting the objectives of ZI. A budget of IDR 50 million has been allocated to each faculty to support operational activities. However, this budget policy is implemented based on progress as a reward and punishment mechanism. The funds are specifically intended to improve governance and public services, not for comparative study activities.
In its direction, the bureaucratic reform team emphasized the importance of improving governance, such as the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) based on rules, clarity of service deadlines, and strengthening digital-based data integration. FMIPA, together with other faculties, is expected to actively contribute to creating a better work culture, transparency, and accountability.
The declaration of commitment to complete the LKE report according to the deadline was also emphasized in the meeting. All faculties, including FMIPA, are required to submit a Budget Plan (RAB) no later than January 24, 2025 as part of the supervision and evaluation of the bureaucratic reform team.
In addition, faculties are directed to explore strategic issues that can be used as innovations to answer challenges in ZI management. The evaluation by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology team is scheduled to take place from February to March 2025.
With thorough preparation and support from the entire academic community, Udayana University is optimistic that it can achieve the predicate of a Corruption-Free Region. FMIPA, together with other faculties, is ready to contribute to building better governance to realize excellent service for the community.
