Udayana University Intensifies Preparation of Laboratory Towards “KAN” Accreditation

Kuta, Bali Monday, November 4, 2024 - Udayana University demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality and standards of laboratories through a series of KAN accreditation preparation activities. This step was marked by technical guidance provided by the Assessor from the Integrated Lab of Sriwijaya University, Dr. Suheriyanto, to laboratory managers within Udayana University. This guidance was organized by LP3M Udayana University at the Dynasti Hotel Tuban and attended by Research Laboratory Officials (PLP) and lab heads.


Dr. Suheriyanto conveyed the importance of immediately starting the KAN accreditation process, with a focus on central or integrated laboratories. He emphasized that KAN accreditation is an important step to increase credibility and trust in the research results produced by the laboratory.


The Assessor's visit to the FMIPA Integrated Research Laboratory on the second day was warmly received by the Head of the Lab, Prof. Hery Suyanto. The Assessor conducted an assessment and provided input regarding aspects that need to be considered in preparing accreditation documents, including room design, especially instrument rooms, preparation and testing.


The steps taken by Udayana University show seriousness in improving the quality and standards of the laboratory. This is expected to have a positive impact on improving the quality of research and community service.
