Udayana Serves 2025: Packaging Learning into an Adventure with SCL and Gamification at SD 2 Lebih Gianyar
Gianyar, August 5-26, 2025 - Innovation in education continues to evolve along with the need for effective and engaging learning methods for students. One concrete effort to improve the quality of learning is being undertaken by Dr. Ni Made Asih, M.Si., a lecturer in the Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Udayana University. She organized a community service activity at SD Negeri 2 Lebih, Gianyar, Bali, entitled "Implementation of the Gamification-Based Student-Centered Learning (SCL) Method to Improve Learning Success in Fifth Graders at SD Negeri 2 Lebih, Gianyar."
This activity was specifically designed to improve the learning success of fifth-grade students through a student-centered learning approach integrated with gamification elements. The material taught focused on integers, a fundamental concept in mathematics that serves as the foundation for understanding more complex mathematical concepts.
Implementation of the Gamification-Based SCL Method, the gamification-based Student-Centered Learning (SCL) method is an innovative learning approach that combines student-centered learning principles with game elements to increase student motivation and engagement in the learning process. In its implementation at SD Negeri 2 Lebih, this method is designed to make mathematics learning, especially integer material, more interesting and interactive.
