Udayana Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences' Master of Informatics Program Expands Academic Network to Nusa Cendana University
Kupang, October 23, 2025 – The Master of Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Udayana University, conducted an official visit to Nusa Cendana University (Undana) to conduct outreach activities, promote study programs, and initiate academic collaboration between the two universities.
The visit was welcomed by the Vice Rector IV for Planning and Cooperation, the Head of the Institute for Learning Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M), the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and the Coordinator of the Undana Computer Science Study Program. The event also saw the signing of an Implementation Agreement between the Master of Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, and the Computer Science Study Program, Nusa Cendana University, as a follow-up to efforts to strengthen collaboration in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in informatics research and development.
The Coordinator of the Master of Informatics Study Program, Cokorda Rai Adi Pramartha, S.T., M.M.S.I., Ph.D., along with Dr. Ir. I Ketut Gede Suhartana, S.Kom., M.Kom., IPM., ASEAN.Eng., provided a general overview of Udayana University and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. This was followed by a more detailed explanation of the Master of Informatics Program, curriculum, program strengths, and further study opportunities for computer science and information technology graduates.
In addition, the speakers also presented several outstanding research projects being developed by the Master of Informatics lecturers and students, particularly those focused on cultural preservation in a digital context, such as the development of the Balinese Script Keyboard (TAMIANG), the Digitalization of the Enggano Language Dictionary, and the AI-based Nusantara Script Learning Platform. These initiatives are expected to open up opportunities for research collaboration between the two institutions in the fields of technology, cultural preservation, and digital innovation.
The event took place in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere, concluding with an open discussion session regarding plans for implementing future collaboration in research and academic fields. With the implementation of this activity, the Master of Informatics of Udayana University and the Computer Science Study Program of Nusa Cendana University are committed to building collaborative networks in education, research, and community service, in order to strengthen the contribution of higher education in digital transformation, especially in Eastern Indonesia.
