To Increase Salak Farmer Productivity, the Chemistry Study Program at Udayana University Holds Work Discipline Counseling in Accordance with Standard Operating Procedures in Sibetan Village.
Bebandem, Sunday, November 9, 2025 — The Chemistry Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, conducted a Community Service activity under the Village Development Grant Program entitled "Work Discipline Counseling in Accordance with Standard Operating Procedures to Increase the Productivity of the Dukuh Lestari Farmer Group" in Sibetan Village, Bebandem District, Karangasem Regency.
This activity was chaired by Dr. Dra. Ida Ayu Raka Astiti Asih, M.Si., and accompanied by the Head of the Chemistry Undergraduate Program, Dr. Ida Ayu Gede Widihati, S.Si., M.Si. This program aims to improve the understanding and implementation of work discipline in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in farmer group activities, to support the productivity and quality of processed products based on snake fruit, a leading potential of Sibetan Village.
The series of activities included interactive counseling, demonstrations on the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and the distribution of winemaking equipment and PPE to the Dukuh Lestari Farmer Group. The participants, members of the farmer group, enthusiastically participated in each session presented by a team of lecturers and students from the Udayana University Undergraduate Chemistry Study Program.
In his remarks, the Head of the Dukuh Lestari Farmer Group, I Nengah Suparta, S.H., expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the mentoring provided. He hoped that similar activities would continue annually, as they were highly beneficial in improving the farmers' knowledge, work discipline, and skills.
Through this activity, the Udayana University Undergraduate Chemistry Study Program affirmed its commitment to playing an active role in community empowerment through the application of science and technology to support the sustainable development of local potential.
