The Undergraduate Informatics Study Program Explores Collaboration with PT Merkle Inovation Teknologi on an Impactful Internship Program

The Undergraduate Informatics Program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, held a meeting with PT Merkle Inovation Teknologi on Friday, January 23, 2026, in the Senate Meeting Room on the 1st Floor of the Dean's Office to discuss plans for a collaborative Impact Internship Program for students. The event was attended by the President Director of PT Merkle Inovation Teknologi, the Undergraduate Informatics Program Coordinator, and Informatics lecturers.

The meeting aimed to explore the implementation of an internship program that not only provides work experience for students but also generates tangible and impactful contributions for industry partners. During the discussion, both parties discussed the needs of companies in the information technology sector, the scope of work for interns, and the relevance of the internship to the competencies of Informatics Undergraduate Informatics graduates.

Furthermore, the mechanisms for implementing impactful internships were discussed, including the duration of the internship, the mentoring system provided by industry and lecturers, and the expected outcomes of students during the program. This program is expected to provide students with a platform to hone their technical and professional skills and problem-solving abilities through direct involvement in real-world projects at companies.

This meeting is the first step in building a strategic collaboration between the Informatics Undergraduate Study Program and PT Merkle Innovation Technology in supporting the development of superior, adaptive human resources who are ready to face the challenges of the technology industry.
