Strengthening Cooperation, BPS Denpasar City Visits FMIPA Udayana University and Signs PKS & IA

Bukit Jimbaran, May 21, 2025 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University received a courtesy visit from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Denpasar City. This visit was led directly by the Head of BPS Denpasar City, Dr. Andri Yudhi Supriadi, S.E., M.E., and was warmly welcomed by the leadership of FMIPA Udayana University.


This meeting became an important momentum in strengthening the synergy between the academic world and government institutions, especially in terms of improving the quality of internships and field work practices (PKL) of FMIPA students in the BPS environment. In the discussion that took place, both parties discussed the active role of students in supporting statistical activities and their contributions to the process of collecting and processing data.


In addition, BPS Denpasar City also provided an explanation regarding the strategic role of Data Guardians in facilitating data requests and access by the public and educational institutions. This is expected to improve data literacy and analytical skills among students.


As a concrete manifestation of this cooperation, the signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) and Implementation Agreement (IA) between FMIPA Udayana University and BPS Denpasar City was carried out. This signing is the first step in strengthening long-term collaboration in the fields of education, research, and community service.


This visit not only emphasized the commitment of both institutions in supporting the development of data-based human resources, but also opened up wider opportunities for students to be directly involved in statistical activities that have a real impact on regional development
