Bukit Jimbaran Sunday, November 17, 2024 - The Udayana University Pharmacy Student Association (HIMAFARMA) is once again holding its highly anticipated annual event, the Preliminary Pharmaceutical Leadership Forum (PPLF) 2024. This activity aims to prepare new students of the Pharmacy Study Program to become competent individuals with strong leadership skills. PPLF 2024, which carries the theme “Develop New Leaders of Pharmacists Toward Creativity with A Smart Innovation and Collaboration,” will take place from September 7 to November 17, 2024, with a combination of offline and online activities.

The event began with the first meeting focusing on participant file verification, laboratory coat measurements, and mentoring sessions. These mentoring sessions are designed to provide insight into the high-achieving mindset needed in the world of Pharmacy lectures. Furthermore, the second meeting marked the official opening of PPLF 2024, where participants were introduced to the “ten stars of pharmacist,” ten important points that a pharmacist must have.

In a series of activities, participants were also invited to get to know the pharmacy student organization at the national level through the third meeting which included small group discussions. The fourth meeting provided technical training and direct practice regarding organizational trials, which are very important for new students in contributing to the campus environment.

The peak of PPLF 2024 was held for two days and one night, with community service activities, familiarization of the pharmacy community, and the inauguration of new students as official members of HIMAFARMA. This activity was officially opened by the Coordinator of the Pharmacy Study Program, Mr. Apt. Dr. Eka Indra Setyawan, S.Farm., M.Sc., and attended by the student supervisor lecturer.

Attended by 92 new students, PPLF 2024 is expected to provide valuable experience and increase familiarity between new and senior students. Through this activity, HIMAFARMA is committed to creating a generation of pharmacists who are not only competent in academics, but also ready to face challenges in the world of work with strong innovation and collaboration.
