Open Doctoral Examination for Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, I Wayan Supardi Officially Becomes the 11th Doctor of Biology

Denpasar, July 10, 2026 – The Doctoral Program in Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Udayana University held an Open Doctoral Promotion Examination for I Wayan Supardi, S.Si., M.Si. The event took place at the Udayana University Postgraduate Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, and was attended by the examining team, promoters, co-promoters, academic community, and invited guests.

In the open examination, I Wayan Supardi defended his dissertation entitled "Cage Design with an Automatic Temperature Control System and the Addition of Turmeric (Curcuma domestica) Extract to Drinking Water to Increase Broiler Productivity." This research presents innovation in the field of animal husbandry through the implementation of an automatic temperature control system combined with the addition of turmeric extract as a natural ingredient to broiler chicken drinking water to improve productivity and livestock health.

After a series of scientific presentations, a question-and-answer session, and assessment by the examining board, I Wayan Supardi was declared a successful candidate and officially holds the degree of Doctor of Biology. With this achievement, he is the 11th Doctor of Biology graduate from the Biology Doctoral Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University.

This success marks a significant milestone for the Biology Doctoral Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, in producing superior human resources capable of contributing through innovative and applied research to the development of science, technology, and the livestock sector in Indonesia.
