National Informatics Webinar 2025: From Coding to a Professional Career
Online, Sunday, September 14, 2025 - The Informatics Study Program Student Association, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, successfully held the 2025 National Informatics Webinar (WEBNAS 2025) on Sunday, September 14, 2025, via Zoom Meeting. The event, themed "From Code to Career: Unlocking Opportunities in Modern Web Development," aimed to provide participants with insight and inspiration regarding career opportunities in web development.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, Dr. Ir. Ngurah Agus Sanjaya ER, S.Kom., M.Kom., who represented the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Udayana University. The opening ceremony began with a Kumuda Sari dance performance, a prayer, and the singing of Indonesia Raya, the Udayana Hymn, the FMIPA March, and the Informatics March. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of mastering digital skills, coupled with an understanding of industry trends, to prepare superior and adaptive human resources in the technological era.
This event featured two keynote speakers who presented material on the world of web development. The first session covered "Teaching and Working in the World of Web Developers: A Digital Educator's Perspective," while the second covered "The Role of Web Developers in Startups and the Digital Industry." Both sessions highlighted not only technical aspects such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but also strategies for building a portfolio and personal branding to compete in the modern job market.
The enthusiasm of the participants was very high, as evidenced by the 725 registered participants from various backgrounds, ranging from university students across Indonesia, students just learning to code, to the general public seeking to understand digital career opportunities. Active interaction was also evident in the question-and-answer session, as well as participation in entertainment, art performances, and games that added to the lively atmosphere.
With this event, the Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, further strengthens its presence in making a tangible contribution to the field of information technology education, particularly web development. WEBNAS 2025 is expected to be an initial platform for the younger generation to embark on professional careers in the digital world.
