Bukit Jimbaran, Wednesday, July 23, 2025 - The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Dean's Building of Udayana University hosted an International Guest Lecture for the Undergraduate Pharmacy Study Program. The event featured Prof. Hsiang-Yin Chen, PharmD, Vice Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Taipei Medical University (Taiwan), as the guest speaker. The presentation, titled "Machine Learning Application in Optimizing the Outcomes of Pharmacotherapy," highlighted the use of artificial intelligence to improve the effectiveness of drug therapy.


The opening ceremony was delivered by the Pharmacy Study Program Coordinator, Dr. apt. Eka Indra Setyawan, S.Farm., M.Sc., and the session was moderated by Pharmacy Lecturer apt. Made Ary Sarasmita, S.Farm., M.Farm.Klin.PhD. The guest lecture was attended by 20 representatives of the Undergraduate Pharmacy students, who actively participated in the discussion and Q&A session for approximately two hours.


This event represents a strategic step by the Pharmacy Undergraduate Program to expand global academic collaboration and introduce students to the latest technologies. It is hoped that this session will create opportunities for joint research, scholarships, and enhance student competency in the field of digital pharmacy.
