Himabio carried out the Monitoring of Biodiversity of terrestrial flora and fauna in Bongkasa Pertiwi Village

On June 17-18 2023, Himabio carried out a Monitoring activity on the Biodiversity of terrestrial flora and fauna in Bongkasa Pertiwi Village. This activity is an annual routine activity which is the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Unud with PT Tirta Investama (Aqua) Mambal-Bali. This activity was carried out in Bongkasa Pertiwi Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency, Bali. This activity was attended by biology students, Biology Student Advisor I Made Saka Wijaya, S.Sc., M.Sc., Ecology Lecturer Dra. Luh Putu Eswaryanti Kusuma Yuni, MSc., PhD, also involved a group of Pertiwi Lestari conservation cadres in Karang Dalem Tua Traditional Village, Abian Semal District, Badung regency, and the CSR team Aqua Mambal Factory. Before going to the field, he was given a briefing by the Head of Karang Dalem Traditional Village Village, Tua Ida Bagus Manu Drestha and by the person in charge of activities from Aqua Mambal, Mr. I Nyoman Arsana

The implementation of this biodiversity monitoring activity focuses on analyzing riparian vegetation and collecting data on the diversity of various terrestrial animal taxa in the area of the traditional village. This activity is expected to be able to improve students' ability to apply the material obtained in lectures in public life. The results of this activity will be an indicator of environmental conditions at the activity location.
