FMIPA UNUD COMMITMENT TO IMPROVE SINTA RATING OF JOURNALS AND SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS
Monday (17/04 2023) the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University held a workshop on scientific article writing and journal management. Located in the FMIPA meeting room at Udayana University, Jimbaran which was attended by the Dean of FMIPA Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc, Ph.D, Deputy Deans, Chair of the committee, chair of UP2M, Study Program Coordinator, and lecturers in FMIPA.
The workshop which presented Prof. Dr. Komang Gede Wiryawan from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) as the keynote speaker and Drs. Yan Ramona, M. App. Sc., Ph.D, who came from the Biology Study Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University as the moderator, followed by the study program coordinators and lecturers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The aim of this workshop is to improve the management of journals within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences so that the ranking of journals that were previously ranked 3 or 4 can rise to a rank of 1 or 2. can be adjusted to the criteria needed in the journal so that it becomes more focused.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, expressed his hope that the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences would be able to publish an interesting scientific journal and article in the future and be able to get a high predicate at SINTA.
After the remarks from the Dean of FMIPA, it was followed by presenting the material which was divided into 2 sessions and 2 different materials for each session. In session 1 the theme presented by the speaker was "Writing and Publication of Scientific Articles in Reputable International Journals" and in session 2 the theme presented was "Journal Management in the Context of Increasing Journal Accreditation".
