FMIPA Udayana University Increases Digital Literacy through the 2026 Udayana Serving Program at SD Negeri 3 Marga

Tabanan, July 11, 2026 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting educational transformation through the implementation of the 2026 Udayana Mengabdi (Udayana Mengabdi) Program (PUM). The activity, themed "Improving Teacher Competence and Student Creativity at 3 Marga Public Elementary School through Coding Training and Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI)," was held at 3 Marga Public Elementary School, Marga District, Tabanan Regency, on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

The program was chaired by Luh Arida Ayu Rahning Putri, S.Kom., M.Cs., along with a team of lecturers from the Informatics Study Program, FMIPA, Udayana University. The activity focused on improving teacher competency in utilizing digital technology as a learning medium, while also introducing the concepts of coding and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to teachers and students in a simple, interactive, and easy-to-implement manner.

During the training, participants received material on an introduction to Scratch as a coding learning medium, the basics of programming logic, the use of AI in education, and practical lessons on creating animations and simple coding projects. To support the sustainability of the program, the community service team also provided learning modules as a guide for teachers implementing technology-based learning in schools.

Through the Udayana Mengabdi 2026 Program, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University hopes that the synergy between universities and schools will continue to encourage increased digital literacy, develop student creativity, and prepare teachers and students for the era of digital transformation. This activity is part of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University's concrete contribution to providing innovative, adaptive, and impactful education for society.
