FMIPA Udayana Senate Meeting: Discussing the Development of New Study Programs and Other Important Issues
Bukit Jimbaran, Friday, 21 June 2024 - Faculty of Mathematics and Natural
Sciences (FMIPA) Udayana University held a senate meeting to discuss several
important issues and topics in the context of faculty development. This meeting
was held as a follow-up to Letter No. B/345/UN14.2.8/TU.01.01/2024 dated 10
June 2024.
This senate meeting was attended by the Chair of the FMIPA Senate, Prof. I
Made Agus Gegel Wairasuta, Secretary of the FMIPA Senate, Cokorda Rai Adi
Paramartha, Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Ni Luh Watiniasih, Chairmen of the FMIPA UNUD
Senate Commission, and Members of the FMIPA UNUD Senate. This activity was held
in the Dean's Building, 1st Floor, Senate Room, Bukit Jimbaran Campus, starting
at 09.00 WITA to 11.00 WITA.
In this senate meeting, several important issues and topics were discussed,
including the development of new study programs, changing the name of the
faculty to SainTeKes, and the formation of a business unit for the
commercialization of research products. The senate members also discussed the
financial situation of the university, the implementation of the PTNBH (Legal
Entity of State Higher Education) program, and the development of a new
undergraduate program in Physics.
This senate meeting began with an opening by the Senate Secretary, followed
by the delivery of information from the Chair of the FMIPA Senate and the Dean
of FMIPA. Evaluation of promotions for several lecturers was also carried out
at this meeting. Apart from that, the importance of evaluating and revising the
faculty's vision and mission, which will involve external parties in the
evaluation process, was also discussed.
This senate meeting ended with a summary of the discussion and distribution
of tasks to each member of the commission and senate. Through this meeting, it
is hoped that it can pave the way for significant changes and developments in
the faculty, such as the formation of new study programs, improvement of
research facilities, and increasing the faculty's overall competitiveness.
With this senate meeting, FMIPA Udayana University shows its commitment to
developing its faculty and facing important issues faced in the academic world.
