Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNUD Receives a Visit from a Summer Course Group from Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University welcomed a group of students and supervisors from Kwansei Gakuin University (KGU), Japan, on Monday, March 9, 2026, in the Computer Lab Room 2, 3rd Floor, FMIPA Dean's Building, Udayana University, Jimbaran.


This visit was part of a collaborative Summer Course program between the Biology Study Program of FMIPA Udayana University and the School of Biological and Environmental Sciences (SBES) of Kwansei Gakuin University. The group consisted of 15 KGU students and two supervisors.


The event began with remarks from the Dean of FMIPA Udayana University, followed by remarks from the Biology Study Program Coordinator, and representatives from KGU. Prof. Dr. Dra. Retno Kawuri, M.Phil., also delivered a presentation on the Terrestrial Program, as part of the academic activities within the summer course.


The event also included an introductory session between students from KGU and the Biology Study Program at Udayana University's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. This session aimed to strengthen academic ties and open up opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange in the fields of biology and environmental sciences.


Through this event, Udayana University's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences hopes that the existing international collaboration will continue to grow and provide valuable academic and cultural experiences for students from both universities.
