Enggano Research Talk at Udayana University: Encouraging International Collaboration in Language and Culture Research
Denpasar, Thursday, January 9, 2025 - Udayana University, through the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on the Humanities and Social Sciences (CIRHSS), is proud to host the Enggano Research Talk event. This event is part of a significant research collaboration in the documentation and lexicography of the Enggano language, involving collaboration between Udayana University, the University of Oxford, and the Australian National University.
The event, which took place in the Soekarno Meeting Room, Poerbatjaraka Building, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University, was attended by various academics, researchers, and students who have a deep interest in the study of the Enggano language and culture.
In her remarks, Prof. Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Udayana University, emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary research and international collaboration. She stated, "This research not only contributes to the development of science, but also plays an important role in the preservation of regional culture and languages ??that are rich in historical value and local wisdom."
This event aims to strengthen the international collaboration network in the field of research, as well as provide a platform for researchers to share knowledge and experiences. With the welcoming speech from the Dean of FMIPA, this event became an important highlight, showing the faculty's support for research activities that focus on the preservation and development of regional languages.
