Cross-Border Collaboration at UMS Summer Camp 2025: Promoting Biotechnology-Based Learning and Innovation
Zoom Online, August 4-8, 2025 - The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) of Udayana University participated in the UMS Summer Camp 2025, a prestigious collaborative program between the Biotechnology Research Institute, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, and several leading universities in Indonesia, namely Udayana University, the University of Lampung, Soegijapranata Catholic University, and Diponegoro University.
With the theme "From Biodiversity to Health and Nutrition: Bridging Green Chemistry and Biotechnology for Sustainable Solutions," the event consisted of two main sessions. The first session consisted of online lectures from August 4-8, 2025, via the ZOOM platform. The second session consisted of an on-site field trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, from August 12-15, 2025.
The Summer Camp program was attended by students from Indonesia and Malaysia and featured guest lecturers/facilitators from both countries. It is hoped that this activity will bridge academic collaboration and strengthen cultural and scientific exchange between the two countries, particularly in the fields of biotechnology and environmental science.
Through this activity, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) at Udayana University affirms its commitment to encouraging innovation and research-based learning, oriented toward sustainable solutions to improve health and nutrition through the integration of green science and biotechnology.
