Karangasem, Saturday, November 15, 2025 — The Master of Pharmacy Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, held a Community Service activity in Tri Eka Buana Village, Sidemen District, Karangasem Regency, Bali. The theme of this activity was "Building Healthy Families with Jamu Nusantara: Educating the Benefits of Jamu for Family Welfare Movement (PKK) Women in Tri Eka Buana Village," with the main participants being local PKK women.

This community service program involved lecturers and students from the Master of Pharmacy Study Program. The interactive event began with a presentation on the history, philosophy, and role of jamu in family health. Participants also received education about various types of jamu, their indications, and health benefits, including their role in boosting immunity. The presentation included scientific explanations regarding the natural ingredients contained in jamu.

The activity then continued with a question-and-answer session and discussion regarding the safety, quality, and use of jamu in everyday life. In closing, participants had the opportunity to try the "turmeric betel" herbal medicine prepared by students of the Master of Pharmacy Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, providing direct experience in using traditional herbal medicine.
