Chemistry Study Visit 2025: Exploring Innovation and the Implementation of Chemistry in Industry
Tabanan, Friday, November 14, 2025 - The Chemistry Study Visit is one of the flagship programs of the Chemistry Student Association (HIMAKI) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University. This study visit takes the form of a study visit to a company. The 2025 Chemistry Study Visit, themed "Navigating the Spectrum of Chemical Innovation," took place on November 14, 2025. This activity aims to provide our students with hands-on experience and real-world insights into industrial production processes, particularly those related to the application of chemistry and process technology. This is crucial for bridging theoretical understanding gained in lectures with practical and innovative applications in the real world of industry.
The first study visit was to PT. Alove Bali in Tabanan. The event began with an introduction to the company's profile, which specializes in aloe vera processing and production, followed by a question-and-answer session. A company tour was then conducted to see the company's facilities and production equipment and learn about the production process. The visit to PT. Alove Bali concluded with a group photo and the presentation of souvenirs to PT. Alove Bali.
The next visit was to PT. Karya Pak Oles Tokcer's work in Buleleng. The event began with an introduction to the company's profile, which operates in the traditional medicine/herbal medicine, agriculture, and healthcare industries. A company tour followed, including a tour of the company's medicinal plant garden and a visit to the production site to see the facilities and equipment and learn about the production process. The visit concluded with a shared meal, group photos, and the presentation of souvenirs to PT. Karya Pak Oles Tokcer.
In addition to the company study visit, this Chemistry Study Visit also visited a tourist attraction, Nuanu. Nuanu is a creative city in Bali designed as an integrated ecosystem for art, nature, wellness, technology, and the creative community. In addition to gaining professional and technical insights from the company, participants also gained cultural, social, and environmental experiences that can only be obtained through tourism. This activity helped reduce boredom after academic sessions while fostering camaraderie and interaction among participants in a more relaxed atmosphere.
