"Beyond ChatGPT: Professor Jin Song Dong Reveals New Potential of Artificial Intelligence"
Jimbaran Hill, Tuesday, December 24, 2024 - the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Udayana University held a guest lecture with the theme “Dependable Intelligence and Reasoning Beyond LLM”. The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The guest lecture presented Professor Jin Song Dong from the National University of Singapore (NUS), an expert in the field of dependable intelligence and sports analytics.
In this lecture, Professor Jin Song Dong gave an interesting explanation of the limitations of models such as ChatGPT in providing accurate answers to specific problems. He also explained how dependable intelligence with reasoning that goes beyond large language models (LLM) can be a solution to overcome these shortcomings.
Professor Jin Song Dong also showed a practical application of dependable intelligence in the field of sports analytics, specifically tennis. The system is able to predict tennis players' wins while analyzing the flaws in their game. With this information, the players can practice more focused on specific exercises that have been analyzed by the system, increasing their chances of achieving better results in the next match.
The lecture was followed by an interactive Q&A session, where
participants discussed directly with Professor Jin Song Dong about the latest
research and innovations. This event not only provided the participants with
knowledge, but also strengthened the academic relationship between the two
institutions.
