Balinese Script-Based Digital Platform Development Workshop
Denpasar, December 10-12, 2025 - The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University held a Balinese Script-Based Digital Platform Development Workshop.The workshop took place at the Postgraduate Building of FMIPA, Udayana University. This activity was part of a collaboration between Udayana University, PANDI, and the Indonesian domain development ecosystem to encourage the use of regional scripts in modern digital technology.
The workshop featured two speakers from the FMIPA Informatics Study Program: I Gede Surya Rahayuda, M.Kom., and Putu Praba Santika, S.Kom., M.Kom., who presented on the integration of Balinese script in digital platform development, implementation techniques, and opportunities for cultural identity-based innovation. Ulfa Kurnia moderated the workshop.
The event was attended by Balinese Language Instructors, as well as students from FMIPA and other faculties, who enthusiastically learned about the use of Balinese script in digital systems, including its application to the Indonesian internet domain. The active participation of participants demonstrated a strong commitment to preserving local culture through information technology.
Through this activity, Udayana University's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) affirmed its commitment to strengthening human resource capacity and supporting digital innovation based on local wisdom. All participants received e-certificates as a token of appreciation for their contributions and participation.
