A Scientist's First Steps: "Lab Tour for the Second Batch of Master of Pharmacy Students"

Bukit Jimbaran, Thursday, August 28, 2025 - The second batch of Master of Pharmacy students officially began their academic journey with a Laboratory Introduction activity at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, on Thursday, August 28, 2025. All new students participated in this activity, which took place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. WITA (Central Indonesian Time), with the primary goal of establishing a scientific foundation from the beginning of the program. They were introduced to the laboratory facilities, including those used for research in natural materials, biotechnology, and analysis, and to understand the importance of safety and ethics in research.

The activity was interactive, featuring tours and explanations of the instruments. Students were also given explanations about safety protocols, sample management, and experimental logbook writing critical steps in developing disciplined and responsible scientific habits. Through this hands-on experience, it is hoped that students will not only master the technical aspects but also grow as scientists with integrity and critical thinking skills.

This activity symbolizes the beginning of their long journey as aspiring researchers and innovators in the pharmaceutical field. Equipped with fundamental knowledge, self-confidence, and a collaborative spirit, students in the Master of Pharmacy Program are expected to be able to create impactful discoveries in the future. This isn't just an introduction to the lab it's the launch of a scientific spirit ready to contribute to humanity.
