2025 FMIPA Student Council Community Service: Encouraging Critical Thinking and Creativity in the Young Generation through Technology
Karangasem, August 29-30, 2025 - The Student Representative Council of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (DPM FMIPA) of Udayana University held a community service event on August 29-30, 2025, at SD Negeri 5 Nongan, Karangasem. The event, attended by 52 committee members, carried the theme "Keeping Up with the Digital Era by Utilizing Technology to Sharpen Critical Thinking in the Younger Generation."
The first day of the event began with an official opening by Mr. I Nengah Karwiarta, attended by the Principal of SD Negeri 5 Nongan, Ni Made Sri Aryathi; the Committee Chair, William Saputra; and the Chair of DPM FMIPA, Ni Putu Wulan Kusuma Dewi. The event included the distribution of aid and an interactive educational session on the use of basic technology through games and quizzes.
The second day of activities began with morning exercises and community service activities within the school environment. The main session focused on Scratch mini-projects to hone students' logic and creativity. The event also featured entertainment, an arts performance by Fahira Azzahra and I Made Galang Mahessa Mahutama, and a symbolic closing ceremony by the Village Head of Nongan, I Wayan Daging.
This activity was supported by sponsors RMD Garment, RMD Catalog, and Artilistic Printing, as well as various student associations within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA). Through this community service program, the Student Representative Council (DPM) of FMIPA is committed to implementing its role in community service based on the values ??of education, solidarity, and social responsibility.
