“FMIPA Udayana University General Election 2024: Building Student Diversity and Participation”

Bukit Jimbaran, November 23 & 25, 2024 - The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University held a General Election (PEMIRA) with the theme "Together Building the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Through Pemira that Embraces Diversity, Unites in Differences, and Provides Participation and Responsibility." This event is one of the work programs of the Student Representative Council (DPM) of FMIPA, which is included in the series of 3 Big Events of DPM FMIPA of Udayana University.

PEMIRA aims to accommodate the voting rights and democracy of FMIPA students in the election of the Student Institution (LM) management every year. This activity takes place in several locations, including the 2nd floor of the AS Building, Biology Study Program, Biology Tamnet, Pharmacy Lab Yard, and the FG Building, Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA.

All Executive Student Institutions, including the Student Executive Board (BEM) of FMIPA, are required to participate in the election of candidates for Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, as well as the election of the Chairperson of the Association in each Study Program. This year's PEMIRA was held offline and equipped with the official web platform of PEMIRA FMIPA Udayana University 2024 to facilitate the voting process.

After going through a democratic voting process, the FMIPA General Election organizing committee has released the results of the vote recapitulation. The following are the names of those elected as new leaders in the FMIPA environment:

· BEM (Student Executive Board) 2025: I Komang Agus Adi Putra Astawa as Chairperson and I Kadek Agus Wijaya Kusuma as Vice Chairperson.

· Chemistry Student Association 2025: Gusti Nyoman Oka Saputra as Chair of Himaki 2025.

· Physics Student Association 2025: John Rio Harefa as Chair of Himafi 2025.

· Biology Student Association 2025: Ida Ayu Putu Oka Apsari Widya Putri as Chair of Himabio 2025.

· Mathematics Student Association 2025: Ni Kadek Kleo Dwi Handayani as Chair of Himatika 2025.

· Pharmacy Student Association 2025: I Made Artadinatha Yogi Maha Putra as Chair of Himafarma 2025.

· Informatics Student Association 2025: Putu Ananda Darma Wiguna as Chair of Himaif 2025.

With the election of these new leaders, it is hoped that they can bring positive changes and increase student participation in academic activities and non-academic at FMIPA Udayana University. Hopefully the new management can continue to embrace diversity and unite in differences for the advancement of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
